Time Alone or Was It?

My dear husband took all of the boys to the desert this weekend. The first thing I did with my new found freedom was go to the grocery store alone. Now I admit this was quite a bit of fun, but I spent twice as much money because I wasn't rushing to leave as I do with the boys. I also managed to bring my children up in conversation to three fellow shoppers, two cashiers and one bank teller. It's funny how you talk about your kids when their not there and pretend their not yours when they are there.

Now I know some of you are thinking Wes is too young to spend the night in the desert in the back of a truck, but I digress, I did agree two months ago. My time with Wes lately has been quite special. He has taken a liking to removing his diaper at inconvenient times, decorating the car with chalk, tearing up books, hitting his brothers relentlessly and all other kinds of mischief so I decided he had matured enough in two months to go with the group:) Needless to say dirt and motorcycles were his thing. He had a great time with his big brothers who were anxious to show him the ropes.

I also took this opportunity alone to fill up a 55 gallon trash can with old toys and above stated torn books from the boys room. I secured all cabinets and put any legos and Wes-free toys out of reach. Their room is spotless and I hope it stays that way even with T-Wes around.

And a little note for anyone out there who has a weakness for doughnuts, DON'T eat them, their not worth it! I woke up last night and threw up and have been unable to exercise today and you know what that means, I'm REALLY sick!!!!!

Just a curious not, how come none of you put daughter in your bio? After all, you were that first! JK I'm glad that you got some "alone" time. I always looked forward to the times. (which did not happen very much at all having the seven of you) I can not even begin to tell you how many things I threw away. Under your beds was just plain nasty!!! A rat could have had a regular meal under there. Ah....the joys of motherhood! I'll treasure them always! (And smile a lot now that it's your turn!)
Love, mom

Did mom forget we DID have mice under our beds, well at least Johnny did anyway.

Why do we clean when the kids are away? Guess it's to hard to relax in filth?!?
