The Best BBQ Beef Sandwiches!

Ingredients

1 boneless beef brisket (2-1/2 lbs.)
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup minced onion
2 cloves of garlic, minced

1/3 cup ketchup
1/4 cup red wine vinegar
1 Tbs. Worcestershire sauce
1-1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. dried oregano
1/2 tsp. dry mustard
1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 cup water

1 bottle of your favorite barbecue sauce

Directions

Heat oil in a large Dutch oven. Brown brisket on one side then turn over to brown the other side and add onions and garlic. Continue to brown brisket, onions and garlic while preparing the rest of the marinade. For marinade, stir together ketchup and the next 9 ingredients through the water. Pour mixture over the brisket. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 4-1/2 to 5 hours or until meat is tender. Remove brisket from pan and discard the marinade. Shred meat; return to Dutch oven. Add barbecue sauce and cook until heated through, stirring frequently. Spoon onto your favorite buns or rolls and enjoy!
