Easy Cherry Cheese Danish

Aaron loves a good Cherry Cheese Danish so I thought I would fiddle around with a few recipes to concoct an easy, yummy version. Well, the boys tasted these and emphatically approved them!

You'll need:

2 tubes of crescent rolls
8 oz. softened cream cheese
1 cup powdered sugar
1 can cherry pie filling
1 egg, separated

3/4 cup powdered sugar
1 Tbsp. milk

Step 1: Roll out each tube of crescent rolls into a rectangle on 2 parchment lined cookie sheets.

Step 2: Cut each rectangle into 8 squares for a total of 16 squares.
Step 3: Beat cream cheese, egg yolk and 1 cup powdered sugar in a bowl. Spread 1 Tbsp. of the mixture onto each square. Top with 1-2 Tbsp. cherry pie filling.
Step 4: Bring opposite corners together and pinch tightly then fold over the top of the danish. Lightly beat egg white then lightly brush the top of each danish.
Step 5: Bake @ 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Let cool for 10 minutes. Mix together remaining powdered sugar and milk. Drizzle over the tops of the warm danish and viola! Yummy goodness : )
