Just thought I would show you the progress on Trev's teeth. He is getting them tightened again next week but the front tooth has really moved back. He is used to them now and the good thing is he can't chew his nails anymore, the bad thing, it doesn't stop him from picking his nose.
Today is Friday for me. There is no school for the next ten days:) I am so excited that I don't have to get up early everyday.
I am reading a great book right now by Lysa Terkeurst called 'The Bathtub Is Overflowing But I'm Feeling Drained'. It has a lot of encouragement in it for mom's and it helps you stop the endless cycle of self doubt. Self doubt has to be one of Satan's favorite tools. Here's a paragraph:
"It's a mistake I think a lot of us moms make. We're a slave to the tyranny of the urgent. But how can we continue to pour out if we aren't being filled up on a daily basis? The flood of demands will consume us if we don't take the time to let God right our perspective, reduce our stress level, and whisper His tender truths of love in our ear. Spend time with the Lord getting a new attitude, and He'll help you leave life's stress at His feet,"
Dear Lord, Give me Your definition of what a good mom is for my specific children. You have entrusted these precious souls to me, and I don’t want to mess up. Help me hold on to Your truths and to resist Satan’s pull toward comparisons and assumptions. Help me keep my emotions in check and my heart in tune with You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
