Being Friends With Spring:)

When I was thinking about what to write for Flashback Friday, I was thinking about the things I used to do with Spring when we were younger. Like the time I gave her Barbie doll head a haircut. It was one of the big Barbie doll heads that you could put make-up on and do her hair. Marcy was so mad about it, that's the main thing I remember about that. I also drank the yellow Triaminic because it tasted so good, I'm pretty sure Marcy was mad about that too. Then there was the time we washed the bathroom floor with a whole bottle of shampoo, what a mess! It was a bright pink shampoo and I know it got on the carpet. I think the times I remember the most were our days spent at VBS. Oh, how I hated VBS. I felt like such an outsider. Let's just say I hated playing any kind of sports. I remember one game in particular. We were tied together in seperate groups of about 6 or 7 kids each and we had to all run together to a finish line. My group just had to have a downs syndrome girl in it who proceeded to faint and she was dead center in our group. We were all hot and tired and were being dragged to the ground by a girl who was passed out. I really have empathy for the boys whenever I think they are in an uncomfortable place.
Don't get me wrong, Spring and I had tons of fun, but that was a little later in life when we spent our days at the beach laying out, going to lunch, getting our hair done or going to the movies. Now those were fun times. I loved the walks we used to go on. We would walk about 4-5 miles everyday and if we didn't go the whole way, Spring would walk the whole thing over again. We would always carry a quarter in our shoe so we could get a glass of water at the taco shop. During one of these walks, Spring was drinking away and she choked on her water in front of a cop, of all people. He got on his speaker and asked if she was all right and we both started giggling and said yes, she was fine, thank you. It's stuff like that I look back on fondly. We had a lot of good carefree times when we were living together. Thanks Spring!

Ah Nicole, I look back on those times as well and am so thankful that Marcy never gave up on either one of us!! The things you did to just their house, tearing the wallpaper of of the wall, filling Marcy's toilet with her tampons and bars of soap, making a trail around her bathroom toilet and walls with feminine napkins, breaking the huge mirror in the guest bathroom, yikes!!!! And yet they still invited us into their home. I guess the Daughtery's were my own personal payback!! We both ended up with the dearest of friends. Thanks Marcy!!
